What's This All About Then?

Bought a car that's perfectly fine but 'perfectly fine' isn't really your vibe? We get it. Whether you want more power, better sound, cooler looks, or just something nobody else has - we're here for it. Exhaust upgrades, intake systems, suspension mods, audio installs, lighting upgrades, cosmetic bits - whatever makes you smile when you look at your car. Life's too short for boring vehicles. Let's make yours interesting.

How it works

We start with a proper chat about what you actually want — more power, sharper handling, a particular look, or a better audio setup — and your budget. We plan the mods, source quality parts, and tell you the honest legal and insurance picture before we fit anything: what's road-legal, what needs declaring, and what's strictly track-only. Fitting happens at your location where the job allows, or we'll advise when something genuinely needs a workshop, ramp or rolling road (a remap or serious suspension geometry work isn't a driveway job). After fitting we check everything works safely and legally, and give you a clear record of what's been changed so you can tell your insurer. We won't fit something that makes your car dangerous or un-roadworthy just because you asked — we'll explain why and offer a legal alternative.

Warning signs to watch for

  • You want more performance — power, throttle response or a remap
  • You want the car to handle better — suspension, wheels, geometry
  • You're after a visual change — styling, wraps, lighting, trim
  • You want a serious audio upgrade — speakers, amp, sub, head unit
  • You're building a dedicated track car and road-legality isn't a concern
  • You just want your car to feel personal instead of factory-standard

Common causes

Performance mods — remaps, intakes, exhausts; many must be declared to insurers
Handling — coilovers, springs, alloys; some setups affect ride and legality
Visual — wraps, styling, lighting; certain lights and tints aren't road-legal
Audio and interior — sound systems, trim, upgraded infotainment
Track-only kit — parts that improve lap times but aren't for public roads
Legal and insurance guidance — what to declare and what will fail an MOT

What we do

We plan and fit the modifications you want, then tell you the honest truth about each one: road-legal, must-be-declared, or track-only. We won't dodge the awkward bits — some mods can affect your insurance, void a manufacturer warranty, or fail an MOT (illegal lighting, over-tint, no valid exhaust). Where a job needs a rolling road or full workshop rather than a driveway, we'll say so. You get quality parts, safe fitting, and a clear list of everything changed.

Car Modifications — FAQs

Will modifying my car mess up my insurance?

It can if you don't tell them. Insurers want to know about performance, styling and even wheel changes, and an undeclared mod can invalidate a claim outright — even one unrelated to the mod. Declaring it may raise your premium, but that's far cheaper than a refused payout. We give you a written list of every change so declaring is simple and honest.

What's the difference between road-legal and track-only mods?

Road-legal mods meet MOT, lighting, emissions and construction rules and can be used on public roads. Track-only parts — decat exhausts, certain race lighting, extreme setups — may improve performance but breach those rules, so using them on the road risks fines, points or a failed MOT. We tell you which camp each mod falls into before we fit it, not after.

Can you remap or fit suspension on my driveway?

Some mods, yes — intakes, styling, audio and plenty more suit a mobile visit. But a remap ideally wants a rolling road to check it safely, and serious suspension changes need proper geometry alignment on a ramp. We're honest about which jobs are driveway-friendly and which genuinely need a workshop, rather than bodging something important to save you a trip.
