Mercedes-Benz Sprinter,
woken right up.
The Sprinter ships from the factory politely detuned, which is a bit rich for a van that spends its life fully loaded and grafting. We turn up at your depot with genuine kit, hand back the torque (and often the MPG) Mercedes kept in reserve, and back up your original file so nothing's set in stone.
Typical Stage 1 gains — up to
bhp
Nm torque
Estimated peak gain across Sprinter engines. Your car's figures depend on spec, year, fuel & condition — we quote honest numbers, never fantasy dyno bragging.
So, what's in it for your Sprinter?
The Mercedes Sprinter is built to graft, and Mercedes builds it detuned so it'll keep grafting no matter how it's treated — one careful ECU map covering every 2.1 and 3.0 CDI van from pampered to punished. Which means there's usable torque sitting behind the factory settings that your Sprinter never sees as standard.
For anyone who actually works their van, that's the good stuff. A remap fattens up the mid-range torque, so a fully loaded Sprinter or one lugging a trailer stops straining and just gets on with it — and a calmer right foot on the same run can genuinely help the MPG. One honest word of caution: on the big-torque 3.0 especially, the clutch and dual-mass flywheel have a limit, so if yours are tired we'll tune sensibly rather than hand you a repair bill. We come to you, wherever the van lives, and run genuine dealer-level tools on a stable power supply.
The original file is backed up first, so it's fully reversible whenever you like. DPF, EGR and AdBlue stay intact and road-legal — no corners cut. Real gains depend on the engine, year, spec, fuel and condition, so you'll get a straight, honest estimate, not a fairy tale off a dyno printout.
The numbers (the fun part)
Standard vs remapped, per engine. Bars are scaled to peak bhp — the red is what you've been missing.
2.1 CDI (OM651) 4-cyl
2.1 CDI BlueTEC (higher output)
3.0 CDI (OM642) V6
Typical estimates for a healthy vehicle. Stage 2 needs supporting hardware (intake/exhaust/intercooler) — we'll only suggest it if your car's up for it.

What's in the box
The small print (yeah, yeah): always tell your insurer about a remap — it's a mod, and "forgetting" can sink a claim. If your Sprinter is still under manufacturer warranty, a remap can affect powertrain cover, so weigh it up first. We keep your original file backed up either way.
Questions you're about to ask
Will a remap improve my Sprinter's fuel economy?
It can, especially on the 2.1 and 3.0 CDI when you cover a lot of motorway or long-distance miles. The extra low-down torque means the engine works less to hold a speed or pull a load, so a lot of owners see a modest MPG improvement on steady runs. It's not magic though — if you enjoy the extra performance with a heavier right foot, you'll spend the gains. Honest figures depend on your driving, load and condition of the van.
Is the extra torque safe for the clutch and gearbox?
The Sprinter's driveline is fairly robust, but a big torque increase does put more load through the clutch, dual-mass flywheel and gearbox. On a healthy van at sensible Stage 1 levels this is generally fine, and we tailor the torque curve so it's usable rather than brutal. If your clutch is already worn or slipping, a remap will find that weakness sooner — we'll always give you an honest assessment before we start.
Do you tune at my location?
Yes — that's the whole point of us. We come to your home, yard or depot with genuine dealer-level tools and everything we need to work off a stable power supply. Most Sprinters take around an hour or so on-site, so there's no dropping the van off and losing a working day.
Is the remap reversible?
Completely. We read and save your original factory file before we write anything, so we can put the van back to standard at any time — handy for warranty visits, resale or if you simply change your mind.
Will it affect emissions or my DPF/AdBlue system?
Our economy and performance maps are written to keep all your emissions equipment fully intact and functioning — DPF, EGR and AdBlue where fitted stay in place and working. A correctly set up map can actually help a DPF stay cleaner on the right kind of driving. We don't remove emissions kit on road-going vehicles.
