Ford Focus ST,
woken right up.
That 2.0 EcoBoost has been quietly holding back, and the ST is exactly the kind of hot hatch that responds to a remap like it's been waiting years for one. We bring the genuine dealer-grade kit to your driveway, let that turbo off its leash, and keep your original file backed up in case sanity ever makes a comeback.
Typical Stage 1–2 gains — up to
bhp
Nm torque
Estimated peak gain across Focus ST engines. Your car's figures depend on spec, year, fuel & condition — we quote honest numbers, never fantasy dyno bragging.
So, what's in it for your Focus ST?
The Focus ST turns up quick from the factory and then leaves a fair bit on the table — because even the fun models get one cautious ECU map that has to account for iffy fuel, missed services and owners who never let it warm up. That 2.0 EcoBoost has genuine headroom; the TDCi ST plays the same game with torque instead of noise.
This is where a remap actually earns its keep. On the EcoBoost you get sharper throttle, stronger top-end and pace that makes the hot hatch feel properly hot — and if you've bolted on the hardware, a Stage 2 map is built to make the most of it rather than leave your new bits half-used. On the diesel ST it's a thick band of mid-range torque that makes it seriously quick point-to-point. We come to you and run genuine dealer-level tools off a stable power supply, because a big petrol map deserves better than a flat battery and crossed fingers.
The stock file's backed up before we start, so it's fully reversible. DPF, EGR and AdBlue stay intact and road-legal — we're after more grin, not a failed emissions test. And we won't wave a made-up dyno sheet at you: real gains vary by year, spec, fuel and condition, so we'll give you an honest estimate and let the car do the bragging.
The numbers (the fun part)
Standard vs remapped, per engine. Bars are scaled to peak bhp — the red is what you've been missing.
2.0 EcoBoost petrol (Mk3/Mk4 ST)
Stage 1: ≈ 290–300 bhp / ≈ 430–450 Nm · Stage 2 shown (needs supporting hardware)
2.0 TDCi diesel ST
Typical estimates for a healthy vehicle. Stage 2 needs supporting hardware (intake/exhaust/intercooler) — we'll only suggest it if your car's up for it.

What's in the box
The small print (yeah, yeah): always tell your insurer about a remap — it's a mod, and "forgetting" can sink a claim. If your Focus ST is still under manufacturer warranty, a remap can affect powertrain cover, so weigh it up first. We keep your original file backed up either way.
Questions you're about to ask
How much will a Stage 1 remap change how the ST drives?
Quite a lot for a bolt-off, bolt-on upgrade. The 2.0 EcoBoost typically gains a strong slug of mid-range torque and sharper throttle response, so it feels noticeably more urgent in-gear — the bit you actually use on the road. Peak power rises too, but it's the fatter mid-range that changes the character most.
When does Stage 2 make sense?
Stage 2 is for cars with supporting hardware — usually an uprated intake and a freer-flowing exhaust or downpipe. On stock breathing there's no point pushing that far, so if your ST is standard we'd recommend a Stage 1. Add the parts and we can revisit a Stage 2 map to make proper use of them.
Do I need higher-octane fuel afterwards?
For a petrol ST we'd generally recommend running quality 98/99 RON super unleaded to get the best and safest results from a performance map, and we tune accordingly. We'll talk through fuel choice when we map the car so the calibration matches how you'll actually run it.
Do I have to tell my insurer?
Yes — always declare a remap and any supporting mods to your insurer. A performance map on a car like the ST will affect your policy, so being upfront keeps you correctly covered. Sort it before you enjoy the extra power.
Is the remap reversible?
Yes. We back up your original factory file before making any changes, so we can return the ST to completely stock whenever you like — for a dealer visit, warranty work or selling it on.
