One map for every market, every grade of fuel, every owner who skips a service, means there's real performance sitting behind that factory caution. We're rather fond of setting it free.

On the 1.5 and 2.0 TFSI petrols and the S3's 2.0 TFSI, that's honest power and pace — crisper response, a stronger shove through the mid-range, the sort of thing that reminds you why you bought the quick one. On the 2.0 TDI diesel it's fat mid-range torque that pulls cleanly from low revs, plus a likely nudge in MPG if you keep your foot out of it on the motorway. Different flavours, same principle: more of the car Audi already built.
