What's This All About Then?

Sometimes cars end up in places they shouldn't be. Ditches. Police compounds. On their roof in a field. The Copart auction lot because you got a 'bargain' at 2am. We don't judge - we just collect. Our recovery service gets your vehicle from Point A (wherever that disaster is) to Point B (wherever you need it). Running or not, wheels or no wheels, right way up or... not. We've seen it all, recovered it all, and we'll recover yours too. Police compound releases, accident recovery, auction pickups, breakdowns - if it needs moving and it used to be a vehicle, we're your people.

How it works

You tell us where you are, where the car needs to go, and what's wrong — won't start, won't steer, gearbox gone, or crash damage. We work out what kind of recovery vehicle is needed: a flatbed (tilt-and-slide) for most modern cars, especially automatics and four-wheel-drives that shouldn't be towed on their own wheels, or a spec-lift where appropriate. We coordinate with recovery partners to get to you, load safely, and transport the vehicle to your chosen destination. Priority goes to getting you out of a dangerous spot — hard shoulder, live lane, or a blind bend — before anything else. If you're on a motorway, we'll always tell you to get behind the barrier and call the emergency services or Highways first; recovery follows once you're safe.

Warning signs to watch for

  • The car won't start and can't be fixed at the roadside
  • You've had an accident and the vehicle isn't safe or legal to drive
  • A wheel, tyre or suspension failure that can't be sorted on scene
  • Gearbox, clutch or driveline failure — the car won't drive properly
  • Warning lights or overheating that make driving on genuinely risky
  • You need a non-running or project car moved between addresses

Common causes

Flatbed recovery — the safest option for most modern, automatic and 4x4 cars
Tow or spec-lift — where a suitable vehicle can be lifted and moved
Accident recovery — clearing and transporting crash-damaged vehicles
Roadside-to-garage transport — getting a breakdown to where it can be fixed
Vehicle transport — moving a non-runner or bought car between locations
Safe-scene priority — getting you off live lanes before loading

What we do

We coordinate recovery so the correct vehicle is dispatched for your car and situation — often a flatbed, because towing a modern automatic or four-wheel-drive on its own wheels can damage the transmission. This is frequently arranged with recovery partners, and we're upfront about that. Our focus is getting you and the car somewhere safe quickly, with a clear idea of destination and cost before the wheels turn.

Vehicle Recovery — FAQs

Can you recover my car if it's completely dead and won't roll?

Yes — that's exactly what a tilt-and-slide flatbed is for. The bed lowers to the road and a winch drags the car up, so it doesn't need to start, steer or even have working brakes to be loaded. Tell us if the wheels are locked, the car's in gear, or a wheel is missing so the right equipment turns up.

I've broken down on the motorway — what should I do first?

Get everyone out on the side away from traffic and stand behind the crash barrier, well back. On a smart motorway with no hard shoulder, follow the signage and reach an emergency area if you safely can. Call the emergency services or Highways first, then arrange recovery. Your safety comes before the car, always — recovery can wait a few minutes.

Do you do the recovery yourselves?

Recovery is often coordinated with our trusted recovery partners rather than done entirely in-house, and we'd rather be honest about that. It means we can send the right vehicle — flatbed, spec-lift or tow — for your specific situation and location. You book and deal with us, and we make sure a properly equipped operator reaches you.
