What's This All About Then?
Modern Mercedes are gorgeous, clever, and absolutely paranoid. Swap a part, retrofit a feature or clear a fault and the car wants everything to agree. We're Mercedes-authorised and run genuine Xentry (Online) for diagnostics — full fault reading and clearing, live data, guided tests, actuations and service functions — plus DTS Monaco and Vediamo for coding, retrofits, variant coding, adaptations and calibrations. Important: our Xentry is authorised for diagnostics, NOT for programming — so we do NOT do online SCN coding, ECU flashing, online control-unit programming or full software-update campaigns (those need a Mercedes main dealer). But before you book a dealer, ask us: we can often get you running another way — cloning modules like the ECU or TCU (and some others) by copying your existing data, or carefully resoldering the EEPROM/CPU chip from your old unit onto a replacement. It works on a lot of cars, but it's vehicle-specific, so we confirm what's possible for your exact Mercedes. We come to you with a stable power supply and do it properly — no dodgy cracked laptops, no guesswork.
How it works
Every control unit in a Mercedes (engine ECU, transmission, gateway, instrument cluster, headlamps, comfort modules and dozens more) runs its own software and 'talks' to the others over the car's data networks. Two different things happen to them: coding configures a unit to match your car's options and specification, and programming (or 'flashing') writes fresh software onto the unit. Coding and retrofits we do with DTS Monaco and Vediamo. Programming/flashing is where Mercedes locks things down behind SCN coding — a Software Calibration Number that only a dealer with online programming authorisation can request from Mercedes' servers. We're authorised for Xentry diagnostics but not for that programming step, so we don't attempt flashing we can't complete properly. Where a module genuinely needs to be replaced, we can often avoid dealer programming altogether by cloning the old unit's data onto a replacement, or by transferring the memory chip itself — more on that below.
Warning signs to watch for
- •A warning light or fault message you want read and diagnosed properly with the dealer tool
- •A feature your car is factory-capable of that you'd like coded on (where supported)
- •A repair that needs an adaptation, calibration or service reset afterwards
- •A used/second-hand module you're hoping to reuse (we'll tell you if it's clonable)
- •A failed ECU or TCU where you want to avoid a costly dealer-programmed replacement
- •A garage telling you a job 'needs to go to the main dealer' — worth a second opinion first

What we do
We come to you and plug in with genuine Xentry (Online) for a full guided diagnosis — reading every control unit, live data, guided tests and actuations — so you know exactly what's wrong. For coding and retrofits we use DTS Monaco and Vediamo: variant coding, enabling factory-available features, adaptations, calibrations and service/reset functions. What we don't do is online SCN coding, ECU flashing or online module programming — our Xentry is authorised for diagnostics, not programming, so those jobs belong at a Mercedes main dealer and we'll say so plainly. Where a unit needs replacing, we'll always look for a way around dealer programming first: we can clone many modules (ECU, TCU and some others) by copying your original's data onto a matching replacement so it drops in with your keys and immobiliser intact, and on a lot of cars we can carefully resolder the EEPROM (or CPU) chip from your old unit onto a new/used one and it runs fine. It's not guaranteed on every model — it's vehicle-specific — so we check your exact car and tell you honestly before you commit.

Can you do online SCN coding or ECU flashing / programming?
No — and we'd rather tell you straight than waste your time. We're Mercedes-authorised for Xentry diagnostics, but not for online programming, so online SCN coding, ECU flashing and online control-unit programming have to be done at a Mercedes main dealer. What we CAN do is genuine Xentry diagnostics, plus coding and retrofits with DTS Monaco and Vediamo — and where a module needs replacing, we can often clone it or move the memory chip across so you avoid dealer programming entirely. Ask us with your reg and we'll tell you which path fits your car.
My module failed and the dealer wants to program a new one — any other option?
Often, yes. If your original is still partly readable we can clone it — ECU, TCU and some other modules — by copying its data (including the immobiliser link) onto a matching replacement, so it drops in and your existing keys carry on working, no dealer programming needed. On a lot of cars we can also resolder the EEPROM (or CPU) chip from your old unit onto a new or used one. It doesn't work on every model and it's vehicle-specific, so we confirm what's realistic for your exact Mercedes before you commit.
What coding and retrofits can you actually do?
Using DTS Monaco and Vediamo we can do variant coding, enable features your car is factory-capable of but weren't switched on (ambient lighting options, certain display/menu features and similar, where supported and lawful), and run adaptations, calibrations and service/reset functions after repairs. If a feature needs hardware fitting first, that has to be in place. If your model genuinely can't support something, or it wouldn't be road-legal, we'll tell you rather than sell you a fantasy.
Is your Xentry genuine dealer software?
Yes — we run genuine Xentry (Online) and we're Mercedes-authorised for diagnostics, so you get proper VIN-matched fault reading, live data, guided tests and actuations, not a cracked laptop or generic clone tool. The honest limit is programming: dealer flashing/SCN coding needs a separate programming authorisation we don't hold, so we stick to what we can do properly — diagnostics, DTS Monaco/Vediamo coding and retrofits, and module cloning/chip transfer to work around dealer programming where we can.
